The ‘curriculum’ for believers
What was taught to believers after Yeshua died and rose from the dead? From which book or books were they taught. What was the background of their teachers? And …. what does your Bible tell you?
The extra ‘the’
The theology in our thinking is often supported by a number of Bible verses. E.g. this one: “… for you are not under the law, but under grace (Rom 6:14)”. But … the Greek says “… under law …” without “the”. The conclusion of some is that the Torah is no longer applicable for believers in Yeshua. Some translations have “… not under law… ” in accordance with the Greek.
It is helpful to know that the Greek word for law is ‘nomos’. This word can have at least six meanings (See: Uses of nomos). The context will help us to know which meaning is applicable.
